ABSTRACT
This project research is focused on the role of small-scale entrepreneur in the Nigerian economy with particular look to case study of (Three Brothers Rice Mill, Hadejia). The study was under taken to examine an organization. A better understanding of this research work have been made from introductory stage by explaining the general problem, the purpose of the research, the significant of the study. The study was conducted by the use of descriptive, statistical tool; other conclusions were reached by the review of related literature. The researcher went further to review the related literature of the subject matter to this study. The population of the study consists of management staff of Three Brothers Rice Mill Hadejia and ten from the management staff were chosen on random sampling. The study conductively found that small-scale entrepreneurship written based on Three Brothers Rice Mill Hadejia. It aims towards identifying the function played by Three Brothers Rice Mill Hadejia in the Nigerian economy. Based on the findings, it is recommended that the management of Three Brothers Rice Mill Hadejia Company should open new branches in other places or state so that people could gain employment and more staff should be employed. Also, it calls for company expansion and diversification of products.

1.1 INTRODUCTION
Today small scale business has been recognized as a civilizing influence which enriches the lives of men and women, and thereby regarded as a developmental strategy which reverses our economic downward trends.
An impressive list of benefit has inspired the adoption of small scale enterprise policies, ranging from efficient factor utilization, employment generation, Innovative Industrialization and democratization of capital formation, regional development, poverty alleviation, etc.
Base on its impact on Nigeria economic development, small scale business also receives a greater attention by the Late President; Umar Musa Yar'adua during his administration (http://www.nageria,gov.ng/7point.html)
Small scale enterprise brings about a reduction in the rate of rural-urban migration. It provides the best strategy for balanced regional development and for checking rural - urban drift.
The growth of small scale business is due to the adequate facilities that will facilitate the development of small scale business in Nigeria and effective decision making.
1.1 Background of the Study
Entrepreneurship tends to reflect the economy and social level of a society. Nigeria being among developing Countries is blessed with business and Investment potentials and opportunities with abundant and dynamic human and natural resources for these abundant resources to be trapped. It requires the ability of the people to identify the potentiality, useful and economically variable areas of Endeavour.
However, it has been observed that it is more difficult to specifically identify with exactly all the business ideas that will survive over a long period of time. This is usually due to instabilities in the environment, and most of them, unfavorable social and economic environment. It is therefore not easy to make accurate forecast or predict about business, hence the need for this study.
Despite the wide ranging implication of the unstable economic, social and political scenario, effort would be made to find out the role played by Small Scale Business entrepreneurship to growth and development of the economic by showing one small business unit that is Three Brothers Rice Mills, Hadejia, Jigawa State.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
The central determinant in achieving the economic development of Hadejia is through entrepreneurship, therefore, Hadejia is faced with the challenges unemployed youth.
The study will try to analyze the problem associated with employment creation in the area. These problems lead to a look at the important of entrepreneurship with regards to growth and economic development.
There is the absence of the modern facilities, no investment and there is no enough companies in Hadejia.
1.3 Objectives of the Study
1. To examine whether small entrepreneurs need evaluation and training before they become successful.
2. To identify whether entrepreneurship has positive impact on self-employment in Nigeria economy.
3. To ascertain the role of small scale enterprises and economic growth and development of Nigeria.
4. To assess the level of growth and development through entrepreneurship and development generation in Nigeria.
5. To attract potential investors to patronize the business operation in three brothers rice mills.
1.4 Significance of the Study
There is no research work that will call the attention of student if it does not have importance to their field of knowledge or to other researchers or scholar's government and even businessmen.
The study will also be of additional knowledge to the past works and even existing ones, literature in the libraries. Businessmen will appreciate the need and impact of small scale enterprises and this encourage and motivate them to venture into small business. It is also a partial fulfillment for the award of HND BAM of Jigawa state polytechnic.
1.5 Hypothesis
1. Ho: small business enterprises does not need education and training before it become successful.
Hi: small business enterprises needs education and training before it becomes successful.
2. Ho: Entrepreneurship does not have positive impact on self-reliance in the Nigeria Economy.
Hi: Entrepreneurship has positive impact on self-reliance in Nigeria economy.
3. Ho: Entrepreneurship does not contribute towards the economic development of the area.
Hi: Entrepreneurship contributes immensely towards the economic development of the area.
1.6 Scope and Limitation of the Study
The research work will only cover Three Brothers Rice Mills, Hadejia as the case study. The research intends to find out how entrepreneurship creak employment opportunities.
In concluding, a research work of this nature certain constrains and limitation will be inevitable. The limitation factor is economic and financial constraints which is the main limiting factor to almost every Nigerian especially uneducated and students.
1.7 Definitions of the Terms
1. Small scale business according to C.B.N (2009) Monitoring Policy: As one whose total cost of excluding cost of land but including working capital does not exceeded N10 million.
National economic reconstruction puts the ceiling for scale business total investment at N10million set 1 on 376 (2) allied matters decree of 1990 define small scale business as one with Annual turnover of it more than N12million Net asset value of not more than N1 million are served as small scale business
2. Entrepreneurship: The capacity and willingness to develop, organize and manage a business venture along with any of its risks in order to make profit. The most obvious example of entrepreneurship is the starting of new business (http://www.businessdictionary.com).
3. Economic Growth: Refers to an increase in a particular nation's gross domestic product, which is the amount of goods and services produced by that country.
4. Economic Development: Is the institutional changes made to promote economic betterment. It is the social organizational changes made to promote growth in an economy.
5. Economic Download: Referred to as "trickle-down theory", is the theory that economic benefits provided to upper income level earners will help society as a whole. In theory their extra wealth will be spent into the economy, providing wealth for lower income earners and creating jobs.
6. Poverty Reduction or Poverty Alleviation: Has been largely as a result of overall economic growth. Food shortages were common before modern agricultural technology and in places that lack them today, such as nitrogen fertilizers, pesticides and irrigation methods (http://martinslibrary.blogspot.com).
