ABSTRACT
This project is on the comparative study of
Cholera Cases and Death in Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital Kano in Kaduna State,
Nigeria. It involves the study of cholera, causes and transmission, control and
preventive measures. The data used in this study is a secondary data and is
collected from epidemiological unit of the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital Kano.
Test of significance is the statistical tool of analysis in this project. It

dramatic out breaks of acute disease accompanied by considerable loss of life.
In other areas cholera is a part of the over all spectrums of endemic diarrhea
and in this situation if often occurs regularly with seasons.
Cholera
is one of the most feared epidemic diarrhea disease because of its severity
dehydration and death may occur within a short period of infection Ferdinand C.
(1892) a German botanist who published a classic book one bacteria is often
considered the father of modern bacteriology stated “cholera as diseased cause
by vibro-cholera”. In the course of this investigation with collaboration of
procedure for providing a particular microorganism is the cause of a particular
disease.
Cholera
is caused by backteria infection of the small intestine. The disease begins
with sudden pain from the bowel, as it progresses vomiting may start together
with muscle cramp due to how blood pressure levels. If not treated may become
rapidly dehydrated pass into shock and lead to death. The organisms which causes cholera is a shape
motile bacterium called vibro-cholera. The main source of infection is
contaminated water.

study covers only cholera infection cases and death on children in Aminu Kano
