ABSTRACT
This research work project, Role of Physical and Health Education in
developing long life exercise as a tool in the football players. The researcher
examined the historical background of the study and the subject matter, the
objective, significance and the scope of the research was well examined in the
first chapter. In the second chapter the researcher was able to reveal some
selected views of authors on what are Physical and Health Education is, the
basic concepts, systems, process, characteristics of communication flow,
importance of the study as well as the used in any Athletes. The researcher highlights the method of data
collection and also the instrument used in analysing data. The data gathered
were analysed in chapter four and hypothesis formulated was tested. The
researcher finally draws conclusions thereby rendering relevant recommendations
among which it is recommended that management should ensure that information
does not go into distortion by minimizing the chain of information
dissemination channels.

1.1
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Physical and health
education plays a pivotal role in the overall development of individuals,
particularly in the realm of sports and athletics. As the global emphasis on
health and well-being increases, understanding how physical education
contributes to the longevity of exercise becomes crucial. This research project
aims to delve into the significance of physical and health education in
fostering lifelong exercise habits, with a specific focus on the case study of
the Jigawa Golden Star Football Club players.
Jigawa Golden Star
Football Club Players has been a notable presence in Nigeria football, with a
rich history of nurturing talented athletes. Beyond their contributions to the
sport, these players serve as an intriguing case study for exploring the
profound effects physical and health education on the development of long
lasting exercise routines.
In recent years, the
importance of physical and health education in promoting lifelong exercise has
gained substantial recognition. The significance of maintaining an active
lifestyle and prioritizing health has never been more crucial, given the rising
concerns about sedentary behaviours and health-related issues.
Physical and health
education (PHE) plays a critical role in promoting lifelong exercise and
overall well-being. In an era characterized by sedentary lifestyles and
increasing health concerns, understanding how PHE contributes to the
development of long-lasting exercise habits is essential. This chapter
introduces the research focus, rationale, and objectives of the study,
providing a foundation for exploring the significance of PHE in fostering a
culture of exercise for long life
1.2 STATEMENT
OF THE PROBLEM
In recent times,
sedentary lifestyles and health-related concerns have underscored the
importance of engaging in regular physical activity. While the benefits of
exercise are widely acknowledged, the role of structured physical and health
education programs, especially within professional sports settings, deserves
further investigation. This research addresses the question of how a
comprehensive physical and health education approach can influence the exercise
routines and overall longevity of exercise for football players within a
prestigious club like the Jigawa Golden Star.
1.3 OBJECTIVES
OF THE STUDY
The study will be
guided with the following objectives:
1.To examine the current physical and health education practices within the Jigawa Golden Star
Football Club Players .
2.To analyse the
impact of physical and health education on the exercise habits and overall
health of the club's players.
3.To identify the factors that contribute to the development of long- lasting exercise routines among professional
football players.
4. To provide recommendations for
optimizing physical and health education strategies for promoting lifelong
exercise among football players.

OF THE STUDY
This study holds
significant implications for the fields of sports science, physical education,
and public health. By understanding the connection between structured physical
and health education programs and the development of lifelong exercise habits,
sports organizations and educational institutions can design more effective
training regimens and curricula. Furthermore, the findings of this research can
guide policymakers in formulating strategies to promote physical activity and
well-being within broader communities.
1.6 SCOPE
AND DELIMITATION OF THE STUDY
The research focuses
on the Jigawa Golden Star Football Club Players as a case study, examining the
role of physical and health education in shaping the exercise habits of its
players. However, it is important to acknowledge that factors beyond the scope
of this study, such as genetic predispositions and external societal
influences, might also play a role in shaping exercise behaviors. Additionally,
the research is limited to the available data and resources up to the present
date.
