1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
GreenHoof Livestock Ventures is a newly established agricultural
enterprise focused on large-scale goat farming in Akinyele LGA, Oyo State,
Nigeria. The venture will be involved in breeding, rearing, and selling healthy
goats (both live and processed meat), targeting meat processors, restaurants,
export buyers, and local markets. The business aims to bridge the growing gap
between demand and supply of goat meat in Nigeria, which has seen consistent
growth due to rising protein consumption.
With a startup capital of ₦15,000,000, GreenHoof will develop a
10-acre integrated goat farm equipped with paddocks, a breeding unit,
veterinary care station, and a meat processing unit. The farm will begin with
100 does and 10 bucks of high-quality, fast-growing breeds like the West
African Dwarf and Boer goat. The farm will also include training and
demonstration sections for aspiring farmers.
1.1 Mission Statement:
To provide premium-quality, healthy, and affordable goat meat products to the
Nigerian market while promoting livestock agribusiness as a tool for economic
development.
1.2 Vision Statement:
To become a leading name in goat farming and meat processing in Nigeria within
5 years, known for innovation, sustainability, and quality.
1.2 Business Objectives:
- Rear
and sell over 1,000 goats annually by Year 3.
- Process
and package goat meat under hygienic and standardized conditions.
- Achieve
revenue of over ₦30 million annually by Year 4.
- Provide
training and employment to rural dwellers in Oyo State.
- Establish
sales partnerships with restaurants, markets, and exporters.

2.0 COMPANY DESCRIPTION
GreenHoof Livestock Ventures is founded by a team of experienced
agricultural professionals and livestock entrepreneurs committed to sustainable
animal production. Goat meat, or "chevon," is an increasingly
preferred protein source in Nigeria due to its low cholesterol content and
affordability. Despite its popularity, there remains a wide deficit in supply
across local markets.
Our farm will be strategically located in Akinyele LGA, Oyo State — an
agrarian zone with adequate land, labor, and infrastructural support. The farm
will incorporate improved animal husbandry practices, disease control systems,
organic feeding, and value chain development such as processing and distribution.
2.1 Legal Status:
The business will be registered as a private enterprise with the Corporate
Affairs Commission (CAC) and will comply with all local and federal regulations
under the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service and Oyo State Ministry of
Agriculture.
2.2 Key Business Activities:
- Commercial
breeding of goats (West African Dwarf, Boer, and Sahelian breeds)
- Meat
production (fresh, processed, vacuum-packed)

Proposition (USP):
- Focus
on hygiene and quality meat packaging
- Use
of climate-resilient and fast-growing breeds
