1.0 Executive Summary
GreenHarvest Agrochemicals Ltd is a specialized agrochemical
distribution company based in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Our company will engage in
the importation, wholesaling, and retailing of high-quality agrochemicals
including fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and soil amendments
tailored to the needs of smallholder and commercial farmers across South-West
Nigeria.
Nigeria's agricultural sector remains the backbone of the economy, with
Ogun State positioned as a major food-producing region. However, poor access to
certified agrochemicals and technical knowledge has significantly hampered crop
yields. GreenHarvest Agrochemicals seeks to bridge this gap by offering
affordable, safe, and effective crop inputs alongside advisory services to help
farmers optimize production sustainably.
Our unique approach combines retail supply, agrochemical consultancy,
rural outreach, and mobile extension services to penetrate deep into the
farming ecosystem. GreenHarvest will cater to over 10,000 farmers in Ogun State
within its first 18 months of operation, expanding thereafter into Oyo, Osun,
and Lagos states.
The startup capital required for the business is estimated at ₦18,500,000,
which will cover product inventory, shop rental, distribution van purchase,
staff salaries, branding, and initial working capital. Our revenue model
includes both direct product sales and premium services such as soil testing,
spraying services, and bulk procurement for cooperatives.
By Year 3, GreenHarvest Agrochemicals Ltd projects annual revenue of ₦75,000,000
with a net profit margin of over 35%. The company will also work closely with
regulatory agencies such as NAFDAC and SON to ensure safety compliance and
environmental responsibility.
Our mission is to “Equip every farmer with the tools to harvest more
while protecting soil and health.” Our vision is to become the leading
agrochemical distributor in South-West Nigeria by 2028, recognized for
quality, reliability, and community impact.
