ABSTRACT
One Health is the integrative effort of multiple disciplines working locally, nationally and globally to attain optimal health for people, animals and the environment. As the human population continues to increase across the world, the interface of people, animals and the environment becomes more significant and impactful. For the past few years, the One Health concept has brought together experts in the areas of animal and human health. It has provided a new synthesis for public health and veterinary communities across the world. One Health initiatives have majorly focused on veterinarians, medical doctors and public health professionals. However, the Environmental Health profession has a major role to play in One Health activities based on Uganda's experiences.

CHAPTER ONE
1.1 INTRODUCTION
This chapter deals with background of the study statement of the problem, definition of the study, purpose of the study, objective of the study, significance of the study research question and research hypothesis and definition of the terms.
1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
In epidemiology a disease, vector is any agent which carries and transmits and infections pathogen in to another living organism agents regarded as vector are organism such intermediate parasite or microbes.
A vector is a living organism that transmit an infectious agents from an infected animal to a human or another animal. Vector are frequently arthropods such as mosquitoes flies, please and lie (www.efsa.europ.ev.com)
Vector – borne disease that result from an infection transmitted to human and another animals by blood feeding arthropods, such as mosquitoes ticks, and please. Example of vector borne disease include denque fever, west mile virus lyme disease, and malaria (www.public.health.lacountry.gov.com)
Vector borne disease account for more than 17% of all infection. Disease causing more than 7000000 death annually.
They can be caused by either parasite bacteria or medication. For example in malaria a mosquitoes is the vector that carries and transfer the infection agents. In molecular biology, a vector may be a virus or plasmid that carries a piece of foreing DNA to a host cell (www.wikipidia.org.com)
1.2 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
vector lyme disease huntaviral disease. Most arbouviral disease (e.g) wnu) vector – borne disease of concern disease pathogen.
Vector there are a lot of effect associated with use of vector and many of those vector aides are powder which can easily be innalated. They causes some health problem like anxiety abnormal parn, vomiting headache body weakness, dizziness and even death.
1.3 DELIMINATION OF THE STUDY
The research is limited to Maigatari town Maigatari Local Government Jigawa state and other villages in Maigatari local government.
Such number of village are not only significance to the research works.
1.4 PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
The main purpose of the study is to environmental health officers in prevention and control of vector.
In order to solve the above stated problems nevertheless U.S.A. environmental protection agency.
1.4.2 OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
To find out what people should know about vector control and determine what people do to control vector.
1.5 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The research work may serve as in important document to the community, government and non governmental because they will use it in their day to day activities and also apart, from that this research can serve as an importance document or guidance for future use.
1.6 RESEARCH QUESTION
1. are the people aware about vector control ?
answer: people are aware about the vector control
2. what do the people do to control the vector?
Answer: The people control vector by the process of proper environmental sanitation
- technical method
- people do sanitary disposal of social waste disposal
- use of natural enemies
- people control vector by using vectorcide and catch alive
