ABSTRACT
The dynamics of communication in an organizational
sectors can not be underestimated. Basically, this work is only an attempt to apprise
the contribution of communication effectives for managing organizations in Edo
State is an economic functioning state because of the abundance of human and
physical resources such as palm fruits, time, rubber plantation etc.
There has been the dynamic pool economic activity. Specifically, this study is
intended to examine the effectiveness of communication in terms of there
functions of the generality of Edo’s. it is
common knowledge that the 90s witnesses the proliferation of different types of
cement industries in the state. Descriptive research method was adopted in the
work with the instrument of data collection being questionnaire, observation,
personal interview publication. The project commenced with introduction and
subsequent review of relevant literature which centered on concept of cement
industry history into the role and problems facing it. Cement industries are
indispensable in the economic development of Edo State
because of the fact that the perform. They provide aids to their customers and
government at large. But in some cases, adverse government policies to treat
the landable effort of some cement industries concerned improving the economic
activities of the state.

Background
To The Study
Communication has been widely
acclaimed as an effective for which an organization carry out their functions
effectively. Managers received information regarding his or her groups
activities and must continually disseminate information to their level to
ensure that the various units in an organization are operating properly.
In recognition of the fact, many
authors have made their contribution s towards this claim as follows:
Chester (2007) for example, viewed
communication as the means by which people are linked together in an
organization to achieve a common purpose indeed, group activities are
impossible without communication because coordination are change cannot be
effective.
Koontz (2002) also viewed
communication as involving ideation, distribution, reception, absorption and
evaluation. It involves the art of transmitting the right information in such a
way that that the right person receives it, understood, weighted correctly and
result on appropriate action.
Thus management, operations and
performance cannot take place or be achieved without communication between
persons and units.
Communication is a powerful tool
that management can use to develop and sustain a smoothly functioning team,
directing the employees and for coordinating their activities. Communication
bridges the gap between the top management level and the worker, without
effective communication a proper supervisor subordinate relationship cannot
really exist in an organization.
Psychologist have also been
interested in communication. They emphasized human problems that occur in the
process of initiating, transmitting and receiving information. They have
focused on the identification of proper use of communication, especially those
that involved interpersonal relationship of people.
Communication in an organization is
to effect change to influence action towards the welfare of the organization.
For example, manufacturing companies requires information about prices,
competition and modern technology as well as information about the business
cycle and government activity. The acknowledgement is the basis for
discussions, affecting product lines and quality marketing strategy.

This study attempts to investigate
communication as an effective means for managing organization.
It also attempted to identify the
major barriers to effective communication and make appropriate recommendations
on how that barrier could be removed.

Objective of the Study
The purpose of communication in an
organization cannot be underestimated. It is impossible for an organization to
achieve its set goals without communication. Business organization depends so
much on effective communication to achieve success. Hence, communication can be
said to be lifeblood of an organization. So success in business depends on the
degree of effective communication within and between organization.
With
these, one can say that management gets it work done through effective
communication. A good manager must be an excellent and effective communication.

organization. Negative results such as mistakes, wasted resources, poor
performance and duplicated efforts can be traced to poor communication.

of the Study
The research is an insight to
communication as an effective means in managing organization in Edo State.
The role of plays in the manufacturing companies in the state and
recommendation as to how the problem can be solved.
To give a broader outlook, the
history and origin of communication is traced back to the period of man.
The research examined communication
as an effective means for managing organization with Bendel content company
limited Okpella as a case study.

Significance
Of The Study
This researcher work will be done
to find out the effective communication and make appropriate remedy on how
these barriers should be removed.
This administrators will find these
study usually because they will know the objective of communication in an
organization.
The employees and employers will
also find the result of this study useful because of the leading role
communication plays in an organization. The administration of any organization
can be can be accomplished only through communication. Administration depends
on communication for its executive.

Limitation
Of The Study
In the context of any human
endeavor, there are always limitation factors, consequently, upon this
understanding, only the achievable has been research in this circumstances. The
major problems faced in trying to put together. This research work are as
follows:
i.
Insufficient
reference material: Up to date reference materials from which relevant
information could be obtain were not readily available .only few of the
organization sampled has a well designed information center. Some official were
unwilling to give relevant information for our study.
ii.
Time:
The time is difficult to adequately manage. Only to limited time, a more
detailed investigation was not easy.
iii.
Financial
constraints: finance is the oil that lubricate every organization that his
finance in human endevour. The depressed economy and insufficient finance were
also responsible for a non detailed investigation of the study.

Definition of Terms
In doing this study, the researchers has made use of
some technical terms. These have given functional definitions so that it
potential users can understand them.
Communication: This is the process by which
information, feelings and experience are shared or placed from one individual
to another by a previously agreed symbol. It can also be defined as the process
of sharing messages, ideals, or attitudes that produced degree of understanding between sender and a receiver.
Effective means: Bring out measures that will
enable the organization to ascertain their resultant intention. To coordinate
the members of the organization in order to achieve possible goals.
Organization: This is an act of organizing
coordinating the performance of workers in an organizational setting. Also is
the systematic arrangement of people with a particular purpose.
Vertical communication: This pattern includes downward
and upward transmission of information with an organization. Its from the hierarchy
of persons at the top to the person at the bottom.
Horizontal communication: This is communication pattern
across departments between persons all about the same level of authority
clerks, managers sales, representation etc.
Horizontal communication plugs a
coordinating role as people performing a variety of duties exchange information
about activities in their respective sections.
